"Artist Claire Feng is known for her captivating oil paintings. Claire often explores the essence of time as an artist. She captures what has been described as suspended moments -- noting that her work delves into the ambiguity between the frozen transient moment of a photograph and the physical presence of an active painting. Her paintings pose questions that stretch beyond what may be considered the obvious nature of an image. In a sense, Claire establishes an atmosphere of suspense that surrounds her paintings and the viewer. As she has suggested, her work is often a visual play on themes such as 'catch and escape' -- marked by a juxtaposition between the obvious and the uncanny."
Art critic Brian Sherwin commented on artist Claire Feng's paintings, stating, "Artist Claire Feng's paintings reveal the fact that we can't always take in visual information on face value. The paintings I've viewed appear to explore the delicate balance between face value interpretations and the unknown. These works reveal that there is always a deeper story just under the surface of an image."

- Selected Exhibitions in the USA, 2009-2011
